It's not important what your AGE is .

It's the work you do and its important that you do IT !

In IM we are all the same age, this is not sport, when you go to retirement with 37 years of life.

GreyWolfBBS "Easy Filehosting. Decently specced servers.".

Peace.
LOL. Yeah...
When I had my own BBS it was actually called "Belegost BBS" though, and ran the Wildcat BBS software on a 33mhz 386 with 4mb ram and a 60mb hard drive. The BBS only had one phoneline, but it was in almost constant use,(most BBSes were like that). I set the BBS up on my old 386 as a dedicated machine after I upgraded to a 486 for my primary PC. When I was actually about ready to start adding more phone lines for the BBS the internet became available which pretty much killed the BBSes. I do kind of miss the old BBS TradeWars game though. lol.

Windows for workgroups changed the world as we knew it.
I had window3.1 because by that time a lot of software would only run under that, but I still preferred the command line and used dos most of the time. I was a die hard dos user and never really embraced windows until the pentiums and win95 came out.

Enough people have filled out that poll for the statistics to start being interesting.

This thread should be made a sticky in the lounge so that as time goes on more members will keep finding it and fill out the poll.

I just had to find out. There were some pretty high-res graphics going on in that game :/.
You can still play it. Last update was September 8th 2011.

LOL. well the display is on a terminal screen. Graphics can only be so good when you're limited to ascii characters. :cool2:

A good game is actually determined by the plot and game play though. Graphics can make a good game even more fun, but it won't make a bad game any better.

Tradewars was a fun game, but it's a multiplayer game so it was a lot better on the bbses which had decent userbases. That's a good link you gave, and there are still a lot of BBSes that you can telnet into that are devoted to the game. It's not something I'm looking to get involved with though. I don't really do much game playing anymore anyway. :cool2:

Old enough to remember when the internet was nothing but .edu's all DOS and black screen, I remember my first HD was a 4mb cassette tape on an Atari, I was thrilled I could save a 4 page document. Prodigy (sp) was going to take over the world but then AOL showed up. When the 5" floppy came out we thought that's the shit, LOL. but then 3.5 floppy's show up and then double sided 3.5's, WTF...

For the Record I'm 53
