How often to post articles on Niche site?

I would like to set a consistent plan as to when I will be posting on my site.My original plan was to post once a week, but I've even heard that I should be posting every day. How much does posting that often increase keyword ranking? If I am doing a Lot of offsite SEO, is once a week
enough?

IMHO Once a day is better but not always easy, so whatever you decide on just be consistent and do it at that. Maybe compromise and do 3 times a week.....
 
There's no hard and fast rule on this. Simply put, update as frequently as you can. Don't do it for the sake of SEO. Do it for the sake of your audience, and you should be fine :)
 
I dont post frequently on my site.. maybe once a month sometimes every other month, last time i checked i was on place 2 on page 1
 
You should post as frequently as you can. It won't help any particular page or post directly but will help your site overall. Google likes active blogs but as RankGeek said, don't post for SEO. Make sure your posts are quality and will give the user a good experience. If you want to have this kind of site (an active one), I would definitely not do anything less than one a month. Anything more is always better but I also wouldn't do more than one a day unless the content is really good.
 
Once a week! Are you kidding me ? If you want to increase your page rank you should post twice a day.
 
I post 20 or less articles to my main site a day all unique content. :D I suggest doing as many as you can with keyword titles this will gain you ranks fast and give long tail keywords. Another quick tip is to Title Your Post like that all capitals and title your tags with all lower case. Google does not count this as duplicate in Google Webmaster Tools and has really helped me gain 2 kinds of rankings for each post I do.

Often I notice my wordpress tags are getting ranked faster then my pages on occasion this is a relatively new site but I already have 80+ posts. :D Been only working on it this will be my fifth day.
 
If you are using it as MNS then once a week is fine .

If macro niche site then twice a week .

And if authority site , then more than 3 times a week .
 
More is better even if short and concise posts, so 2-3 times weekly
 
Its not about the number of posts that you make, its about seeming natural. So try and be consistent with the frequency of posts with a little bit variation sometimes.
 
Once you get your ranks you can a pack it in for quite a substantial time or lower frequency

If you're in a competitive market then the best thing to do is daily.

If weak, once a month.
 
Once a week is much more enough. When you have repeated visitors you can increase the frequency.
 
Yea it is a new site, and google analytics is showing that there are'nt too many repeating viewers (like 9%), so i'm currently posting every 3-4 days, andywhere from 300-600 words unique content.
 
I post 5 times a day when I can, the goal is to have quality and quantity content, if possible I would recommend to build a site with 1,500 pages of unique content in two years. Then more pages your site has of quality content then more chances you have that you'll receive long tailed keywords traffic referrals from search engines, large amount of quality content will also help with people linking to it.
