How often should u set autoblog to check for posts?

I have my set for checking every 4 hours or so b/c i read if it's set too often thats not good right? should the frequency it checks be different for each blog or that doesnt matter? thanks

I think 4 hours is too much, I'm putting 12 hours in my autoblog!
