So, I have a blog post.

I only use 1 H1 tag per post topic.

My Question: How often should I be breaking up my text or paragraphs with a H tag? Is there a certain amount of words that should be displayed before the next H Tag shows up? Like disregarding Size of H Tag.

Im still new to SEO, but Im thinking that Google just wants to see an H Tag every once in a while. So how frequent? Can it be broken down into word length?

You can use h2,h3,h4,h5,h6 many times. No problem. My personal opinion avoids using more than 4 h2 tags.

I wouldn't use the H1 tag more than once.

And IMO it's a good practice to have at least 10 to 15 h2, h3 or h4 tags per page.

There's no such rule. You could have as few or as many words as you like. The thing is, try to have a good amount of "white space" on your page so that reading the content isn't hard.

It all depends on your content I guess. The main page heading could be H1, and sections headings can be in H2 and sub-section headings in H3 and so on.
In my blogs I mostly prefer using H1 only once for the main page title and H2 tags for my blog posts titles.
Also in your theme make sure H1 tag isn't too big because that can be very distracting.
