How often should I post?

When I check the other pages, in a day they share 24 posts. Hourly one post. Is this true? Should I do the same?

Atleast two times a day, up to 4 times.

I thing 24 post a day is TOO much, I would unfollow a page that did so

I would do between 3 and MAX 5 post per day

I think quality matters over quantity. One engaging post per day is good enough for me.

I agree with @King_zyzz ,
In our world the numbers tell us what to do...
- But firstly, how much valuable content can you put out? Do not put out crap because , it will not be the quantuty but the quality that will make you lose followers!
- At what time is it best for you to post this content ? (useless posting when your followers are not active, your post/story just disappears from the first pages of their feed)
- Can you do the work? Can you sustain the ratio of posts? It is not the best idea to settle at 5 posts per day to drop to 2 posts per day in a month...
- Test and see if more grows or shrinks your following!

Hard to tell because subject and quality of posts is also important but when looking at these active social platforms, people follow you for many reasons, changes in patterns will affect your following...
If you gain lots of followers because you post X amount of info daily chances always exist they will lose some interest if suddenly you do less than half...
There are many factor involved because to make things complicated the new pace of posting might be offering better quality as well...
Best bet would be to gradually decrease and see what the impact is... It might not even be noticeable immediately though as it can take some time before people lose interest...
