Does it matter (besides bandwidht) if root of domain gets visited more time a day by g ? today i added more content then usually, and i checked g cache and i spoted at least 4 changes in half day, so i wonder if its better for me to limit recrawls or not ?

otherwise i gota say i am getting slowly more and more visitors from g....not so much, but 2 days ago it was first time more then 100 visitors from g search a day

so i am gona keep what i am doing in last 2 weeks...keep on hammering tiers with aa and similar sht

As long as you have the bandwidth I would not recommend making any changes to the crawl rate of Google. One time I actually turned up the rates my bandwidth skyrocketed but it really had no impact on my breaking. So as long as it is not slowing down your website or costing you a fortune I leave it exactly how it is.

yeah so far website speed didnt drop. i cant say website is fast, but it never was fast, for 1st year hosting with go daddy it was actually much much slower then it was now (i guess it helped that i complained a lot). on short, so far speed aint affected

mine get crawled every single day, got no clue why
i knew my got crawled too at least 1 time a day, but becouse content was added only roughlty 1 time a day i didnt really spot by g cache if crawling happens one time a day or more times a day..until now

I think choosing the crawl rate depends on the kind of website you are running. If it is a dynamic site, with constantly updated content (e.g. set it to something more often through webmasters tools).

My website is set to get crawled every day.

1. Adult site 600 pages updated 2 weeks ago : 286 googlebot hits yesterday
2. Tech site 76 pages updated 2 days ago : 386 hits
3. Webshop : being crawled non-stop

Other sites:
10-25 visits a day

I always wondered why the first 2 are getting hammered by google..

Could anyone enlighten me about this?
It's not that I keep on adding content every minute ... so no reason to crawl them like crazy.
I don't really care because I think it's a good sign, but always wanted to know why this is happening :)

for 1st website, i assume this means like 1/3 of pages got crawled in last 2 days?

im getting about 180 google hits /day, with a one page adult site

Yes.. for some reason the same pages are getting crawled again and again and again... while I haven't touched the site for like 2 weeks.

All pages are already indexed, ( and crawled a million times ), yet no changes were made for the last 15 days so it's strange at least. That site is more than 2 years old.

I don't really care about it but still it would be good to know why it's happening.

Could be useful info for people having a hard time getting their stuff indexed.

get mine crawled about twice l think the last time l checked ,but l tend to add new content every two weeks so things look fresh

Depends how good you treat mr. G. If you add new content and backlinks everyday, then would you have the company of mr. G everyday.
