How often do you update old blog posts?

Yes, but dont update just for the sake of it. Instead, improve posts with new information, better formatting that add value to readers

there's no interval that's set in stone. You update as necessary (whenever you have new info about the topic, just don't do it daily, that's too much work IMO)

If your topics acquire new info all the time you can update weekly, otherwise once a month, or even once or twice a year should be enough...

Each month I check Search Console for posts with lots of views but few clicks. I tweak the title, add a quick FAQ, or update stats. These small, regular fixes keep content fresh

Yes, Updating old blog posts does help SEO- i usually update them every 6 months to add fresh info, improve formatting, and make sure keywords and links are still relevant. It signals to google that the content is still useful.

Depends on the niche, but I try to review and update key posts every 3–6 months especially if they drive traffic or rank well. Even small tweaks can help with SEO and keep things fresh.
Thank you very much for your valuable comments and suggestions.

I'm not sure if updating old blog is required...... I saw on youtube peoples change the titles or image on the video from time to time so maybe may help but i don't think will help a lot

Ensure your post are not older / untouched than two years.

Depends on how evergreen the content is. For tech stuff, AI developments say, you'd need to update it once/week at the moment! :D

Yes it helps, but not if you're just tweaking for the sake of it. The impact comes when you actually improve the post, like adding new data, better structure, or fresh internal links.

If a page already ranks or pulls some clicks, it’s worth revisiting every few months. Google reacts more to freshness when it’s tied to value, not just edits.

Honestly, I don’t follow a strict schedule — I update when I notice a dip in traffic or rankings.
Usually, I check Search Console every couple of weeks, and if a post that used to rank well starts sliding, I’ll dig into it and refresh the content.

Sometimes it’s just tweaking the title, adding a few new sections, or updating screenshots. Other times, I’ll do a full rewrite if the info feels outdated. I’ve had a few posts bounce back just by adding some recent stats or changing the intro.

Also, I try to keep my top-performing posts on a loose 3–6 month review cycle. Not always perfect with it, but it helps.

Yes, it is good for SEO. It doesn’t matter whether the article is written by a human or an AI tool — you still need to add value, new, and helpful information, when necessary, but not excessively. Maybe every 2–3 months, and only if your articles are getting clicks from search engines.

I don't update too much. I do it when the content needs to be updated. Maybe I do some internal, external linking or make changes in the title, meta description. My strategy is to update the content that has been performing well in SERP as soon as it starts to rank at the initial level. But don't just update it when the ranking is stable; there is a high possibility of losing rank position.
