Sort of "vague" question, but just curious to how often you guys add content.

Also do you outsource or write your own?

For me I been updating every couple of weeks. I think I am gonna do a more frequent content update though as it seems these days that's what it's about.

Ya, I thought it was all about updating but it doesn't always matter. It depends, I'm in a niche that I don't update at all and it's pretty competitive and I rank #1 for the term and I haven't updated in 2 months. Another competitive niche I haven't updated in a month and I"m starting to slip in the rankings. So I'm not really sure how much it factors in.

On my micro niche sites, rarely. Maybe add an article or two a month.

On my large sites, I add anywhere from 40-90 articles per month.

With regards to your micro niche sites, do your rankings stick with so little content additions each month? Or is it just a lack of content but you are always backlinking?

    Thanks in advance.

I now consider all my sites to be big sites, so i make sure of at least an article a day without fail.

As far as writers are concerned, anyone care to share rates of pay?

It seems in my experience you can't even get a grammatically correct 500 word article for under $5/pc.

Curious to your guys' thoughts on pay rates for writers.

Try to outsource writing and if possible even article publishing, post as often as you can.

Once in a while, I see my ranking drop a spot or two, and then I build some more backlinks.

I'm not sure why it drops, to be honest with you. But my micro niche sites don't bring in a ton of money, so I try not to spend too much time on them.
