How often do you check your stats? (Adsense, etc)

Got a bit of a mini-experiment going. Purely psychological. Basically trying to see how long I can go without looking at my adsense earnings. I usually check day to day but I decided this is a waste of time on many levels. Problem is its SO tempting to look when you are actually making money.

THe longest I went so far was 13 days. Not even a full two weeks. Trying for a month now and I am a little over a week in.

Damn it's tough

every 30 minutes??? hahaha thats crazy but I'd be lying if I say there wasnt a time I was doing that myself.

yeah man, im just new arround here, and its so amazing how you can actually make alot of money!
for now, i do it with youtube partnership through adsense. i made myself a partner through viewet... it actually works and give's me like 6$ per day

I check my clicks more than my earnings.

Earning stats I check a few times a day.

Well i must say i do that really too much:
- When i wake up
- When i go to sleep
- Whenever i feel like it inbetween (maybe 1x an hour)

I'm trying to cut it down 1 a day, but its really hard.

between 3 - 5 times a day!

i dont understand why you waited 13 days to check ur stats. Dont you work on your sites or work for traffic..
its understandable if everythings automated but i always check and when earnings lower than ususal then somethings wrong somewhere and i get to work

thats only time i actually do some work.
i dont do adsense though.

I just do 1 time because It seems to me my adsense stats just gets updated just 1 time in 24 hours. Is this only me?

Usually twice a day, once in morning and at night. I don't know if I would go a month. If something happened like your ad code somehow got changed up either accidentally or by getting hacked you could lose lots of money in a month. Just too risky for me.

Yes. This is one reason I am doing this. If I add up all the time it takes to check my stats it could easily be hours in a month.

you see, I check my stats and sometimes start daydreaming or get discouraged if I dont like today's numbers. I easily burn 5-10 minutes each time I do this because I start over analyzing stuff and just overall waste time.

What I do now is this: Ever time I get the urge to check stats I focus on whatever I'm working on and work 2x as hard on it. At least for me, not checking stats and doing this instead has been beneficial so far. I noticed I am working more and harder.

ohh, it,s obsession - i check it 3 time at day, - morning, evening and onnce over a day. i want to check it only 1 time - it's psichology - i need to see that everithing is ok... it's rumor..

I try to limit it to only 1-2 times per day. I used to check them all the time but it's such a time waster.
