Just found that my last laptop backup is more than one year old :)

so how often do you backup? :)

My data is synced with a cloud online storage service, if hdd fails I have everything online.

Every few days, or if i make alot of changes.
I use MACRIUM Reflect free edition. works great

Daily: cloud for most, external hard drive for a lot and usb for extra vital stuff!

Daily .. twice....at 2pm and at 7pm with acronis
you should back up your pc daily .. if something goes wrong, you will regret it
I lost all my data like 5 years ago and promised myself that it would not happen again.
Do it before it happens to you

I use my daily backup system into SWISS FORT KNOX for 7€/month 1GB (always 30 days free)

Kindly see my signature!

I just move my sensitive data from my internal HDD to the external one.

I have owned my pc for 3 years now. I have only backed it up 3 or 4 times. I need to do so more often.

I store most of my stuff on cloud and then reformat it every 2 months.

I'm a music producer so as often as possible.

I once lost over 200gb of music material I created. That was enough to teach me my lesson.

I don't. I had a lot of computers go thru my hands (100 maybe, including the ones I built for my clients), and I have seen one failed harddrive so far (in one of my own computers, lol). Before it failed it started making horrible sound and refused to to recognized by a motherboard a few times so I had enough time to backup the data. So no, I don't believe in data backup generally.

You should get an external HDD, leave it plugged in and every now and then, drag and drop your important files on it. Easy as pie!

Never, not really anything of any importance on any of my computers. I do not even bother using antivirus programs, as they seem to do more bother than good.
