How Necessary is SEO for autoblogging?

If you do all the right steps (SEO friendly titles, plugins, etc.) when SETTING UP your autoblog, how much SEO is needed AFTER it is up and running?

I have a small collection of ABs I am experimenting with. I had one submitted to a bunch of directories, for another I purchased a linkwheel, etc. etc.

But I have also heard that the content alone is enough to get a well-monetized site up to $.50-$1.00 each day...Am I just wasting my time?

If you DO any SEO for your autoblog, what do you do? I am debating buying Scrapebox, Ultimate Commenter, and maybe a few others...I just don't know...

SEO is always critical for the success of any and all websites to maintain traffic and keep a stable and successful traffic and cash flow. It doesn't matter how automatic you make something, if you don't have seo, it isn't going to be where people will remotely find it in the most important of all search areas, natural search...where the visitor/potential client comes to you and has a personal drive to research what you are looking for.

No matter how much great content you put on your blog, it won't matter if no one knows it is there in the first place. You will cycle out in only pinging it once. You must develop a routine of tasks that promote your sites/blogs in different ways. You have to maintain a level of balance against your competitors, else you will be bumped out within a matter of hours and in some cases, even minutes.

No. If you have a BH oriented site that is relying more on mass traffic than on a trickle of targeted visitors, it is not necessary to keep it SEO friendly or WH compliant. If your AB also has plugins that automate many aspects of traffic building (WH or BH) like an auto pinger, a backlinking bot, auto blog commentors, a social media bot, an auto submitter, LWs etc., the traffic should be somewhat automated.

Well lets just say I have done 0% SEO to my blogs and the best one is ranked on page 2 for keywords that have 5 million results and is pulling in around 10k uv's a day. The rest of the blogs are not that far behind.

I only use the All In One SEO plugin and let the rest happen automattically. The goal here is to set the blog up once and never touch it again until you have to update its plugins and you know what this is exactly what has happened...

It depends where you are getting your traffic from. My opinion - if it's from either Facebook or Twitter SEO is not important at all, Big G can do whatever it wants, who cares...

I agree with this, I pull all my traffic from Twitter, I do minimal SEO, then the AB just get raped by spiders and magically rank over time. <3

OK...I am using Platinum SEO, Onlywire, and an auto pinger...is that enough?

Theres two routes you can go with autoblogs:

SEO or Social Media traffic

SEO guarantees long term results, but can take awhile to set in.

Social Media guarantees immediate results, but you have to check to make sure your accounts dont get banned, and get more friends/followers etc.


If you dont want to do seo, or dont understand it, twitter+autoblogs is a great way to go.

My sites have been running for around 6months to reach that. Most important thing is to get a good niche, a good ping list and correctly setup your blog which as much features as possible. Spend at least 5hours on 1 blog to make it look shmick. I try not to call my Blogs Autoblogs because I hate the whole stereotype people have given them. I don't currently have a good auto-adder, so social media isn't going too well ha...I am more a fan of the SEO attack, but I just hate this initial stage because I don't know if I am doing things wrong or if I just need to be patient...
