at least you are honest...

While honesty is a virtuous quality, it doesn't pay the bills.

Requesting "all" webmasters here is presumptuous, and it does not show any humility or respect for their time.

$3-4K a month will probably take you more than a year to make.

Nobody is going to give you "all details," as some details are trade secrets, and you have to figure those out yourself.

The out-and-out begging seals the deal that you're just begging for someone to spoonfeed you everything. You won't find a single person on here that is going to oblige you.

Try to earn on your own. Then, if you have specific questions, ask them. Then, people will see that you're working at it yourself, and they will be more inclined to help you.

NO THANKS

Twitter and Facebook work great with Clickbank

No need to build a list... Just automate a few profiles and direct sell clickbank products

I would direct link you guys to my blog and show you my video of 10k/month proof video if it wasn't against the tos

Cheers

Good. Less competition for me then. ;)

Actually, if you'd be interested, we might be able to do business, as we don't currently step on each others' toes.

Are you the real deal?

Wouldnt be the first time I seen someone with more than 1000 post on here and not be making any serious money (honestly)

Do you Skype?

@OTrap I think you gather mails on google. right ?

A big Fat $0.00 but the threads about new review sites seem to be doing well, tonight I will start my own and see what I can do

$0. But hopefully more than that after I get a few CJ targeted sites up :)

@nuclearrap - scraping emails is pretty inefficient. The list you get is pretty untargeted and so won't convert well. That's why spammers need such massively large lists. Even with a .0001 success rate you can make money if you send out 2 or 3 million emails. That's also why laws had to be created to control it though.

The best way to create an email list is by collecting email addresses from your buying customers, and the next best is to create an opt-in list by collecting email addresses from potential customers. I'm sure that's what OTrap does.

The best way to create an opt-in list is to use a squeeze page. That's basically just a landing page which has a form offering people something (like a free ebook, or periodic newsletter) in exchange for them submitting their email address to your list. This not only gets you opt-in email addresses for your list, but since it's people that were already searching for info on your site the list will be targeted to your niche. With such a targeted opt-in email list the offers you send to them will have a much higher conversion rate. A targeted opt-in list of 10,000 emails will typically have a much better result than an untargeted spam list of 2 million.

The key to the opt-in list though is time. You need to have a squeeze page which gets substantial traffic, to do that you have to do seo and site promotion on that page the same as for any other site. So you won't get instant results, but if you build such a page at the start then after some time you will eventually have a powerful list you can use.

That's the kind of opt-in list everyone is talking about whenever you come across phrases like, "the money is in the list".

ooh I got it GreyWolf. thank you. squeeze page is best idea for mail marketing.

I earn around $150 - $400 a week from CB with one product on YTube. This has worked steady for the last year, but YT just banned my IP.

Reading up on proxies now :D

I have also promoted CB items on a Niche site w/ optin. $0

good good. I wanna learn youtube marketing. but I can't it yet.

Wow, best thread on the topic so far! Not sure why I didn't start here. To answer the original question... I think lifetime I've earned $300 or so and most of my buyers were myself. (just being honest).

Reason I'm here is to ask for feedback to my cram session this week. We just got our Vendor account approved this morning and our product will be live in the CB marketplace tomorrow afternoon (PST)

I'm learning that I should have connected with someone like OTrap long before we went ahead and launched this. I've never really done the affiliate thing, always been client side work / consulting for our firm.

So I know I need to build a list (we'll be launching a site later today to do just that) we have an Aweber account - plenty of legit give-aways (our old podcast had over a million downloads I figured we could repackage that in someway)... yadda yadda,

My big question is this - There's a few of you in this thread that would be our target market (affiliates with big, and more importantly, converting lists). What can we do to entice you to promote our product? Review copies? Editorial rights to the Pitch Page? We've already started making a bunch of buttons (for normal aff's but I'm looking for a few big dogs).

Maybe I'm going about this completely wrong... If I am please feel free to say , hey dummy! You're doing it wrong! Also I'm not sure if it's okay to post a link so I won't here, instead I'll just tell you that we're launching SEO 101 Training.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

David Brown

This is exactly why I left cold prospect emailing. (1) It takes too much effort to mail that volume, (2) it takes too much effort to work with ESPs, and (3) conversions consistently suck.

My current list of 50K or so subscribers does better than my old list of 2.2M of cold leads.

Something like this, but I put a twist on it that I've never heard of anyone else doing, and it REALLY helped with keeping the list from getting too full of freebie seekers.

A targeted opt-in list of 10,000 emails will typically have a much better result than an untargeted spam list of 2 million.

Living proof. My old list of 2.2M used to earn me about $200-400 a day. My list of 50K now does ... more than that.

Substantially. ;)

I've done a LOT on the vendor side as well.

There are 2 main things you can do to get the big, big guys, and this goes for any Clickbank offer.

(1) Make sure the offer converts, and converts WELL.
I normally hit an offer a time or two, but there is an offer in the marketplace right now that continues to convert so well that I have promoted it for almost three weeks straight. I've sent almost 20,000 hops to the guy for no reason other than the fact that I make a lot of money promoting the offer.

(2) Offer to reciprocate traffic to your top earners.
Most of them have their own offers. They like getting traffic to their offers as much as you like getting it to yours, so offer to match them click-for-click (if you have to use SEO or paid advertising and get the traffic over longer periods of time, they'll be cool with it).

Really all it takes. Make sure that in your tests, it converts well (5-10% with at least $3 EPC), and offer reciprocal traffic.

neoblog. welcome man

Thanks! I've actually been a lurker here for years... just tried not to post to keep my pristine white hat unscathed :D

OTrap - What do you suggest just throwing a PPC campaign at the Sales Page and see what we get for conversions? I don't really feel that would be an accurate portrayal for people with targeted email lists. Do we just base it on 100 visitors? The site is brand new and we've only had Twitter / Facebook traffic from my marketing friends (who wouldn't buy a 3 hr HD video of me teaching them the basics as they're all well past the basics, and have my phone number if they had a question anyways...)

How should we set up initial testing?

Best,

David Brown

I would set up a series of split tests, and then buy targeted solo email ads.

As for the number of clicks, I'd go with 1000 per test piece (so, for a 50/50 split test, it would be a total of 2000 clicks).

That's what I do. I probably put $1000 into split testing my last offer. Worth every penny.
