Hey all,

So recently my good friend wants to start up a website. He is new to everything so I told him that outsourcing is probably the best thing to do while learning along the way. Well he wants to know how much it would be to do SEO work and backlinking

Like on-page SEO articles or homepage
And then how much for backlink services

I am not familiar with the pricing because I am doing everything myself, so I came here to see what you all think is the normal pricing for this. :)

Impossible to say without more information. Answer will vary based on the keyword(s) he is targeting. For example, he would need a lot, a lot more money to target the keyword "payday loans", than he would if he was targeting "how to train my dog to stop barking".

Yea actually its for a local search, like "Insert City" -Tv service. So for example Hickory tv service. (not the real keyword but basically the same layout) I looked up the serps and keyword research, heres some info, 66 daily searches, SEO competition says its modertly difficult, the number 1 search result has only 98 backlinks

Shouldn't be difficult. A few services from BHW should get you there. I'd get some blog posts, and then get those blasted with Scrapebox. And make sure you get the blog posts drip fed (posted gradually, not all at once). Local terms usually aren't too difficult (then again, it depends on the city).

So create a free blogger, Blast with SB then take those links and feed it to linklicious? I could probably do this for him along with using AMR and then blasting the article links haha how much would people pay to do this?

Actually I was talking about high PR blog posts (private blogs). There's quite a few good providers in the services section. Then once you get the links to those, you can have those blasted with blog comments/profile links/AMR links.

Ah right simple enough, well if you HAD to pay someone to do this for you how much would you pay the guy in all seriousness. I might step up and do this for him. I just dont know the average pricing for this type of work

You mean how much would I pay for the blog posts? Or how much I would pay someone to work on ranking my site for a local keyword?

Ranking local keyword

I'd charge them on a monthly basis. It's difficult to say without seeing more about the keyword (like the top 10 competition). For example, I had a lawyer who wanted me to rank his site, for a keyword that only received like 100 exact searches a month. But even with that low a number of searches, the competition on the 1st page was stiff, and it would have taken me at least 4+ months to rank him there.

Hm, you are right I see what you are saying. Well ok, the keyword is fairly easy to rank for in my opinion, the competition (Top Ten) people seem like they don't even know what SEO is and created a site describing there service without SEO in mind or very little, so I think it will be fairly easy with a SEO optimized page with some good high PR backlinks.
With this information, what is a reasonable amount to pay for a monthly basis.

Do you have access to any tools like Market Samurai, or Traffic Travis? If not, you can shoot me a PM with the keyword and I'll have a look for you.

Yes I have access to it, Lol I understand the compeition and all that all I want to know is how much people will charge or the usual amount for a local LOW compeition keyword

Can you take a screenshot of the top 10 competition, and blur out the domans and keywords (I just wanna see the backlinks, indexed pages, referring domains, for the top 10 sites).

Most of the domains seem somewhat aged, but I'd focus more on their links. They don't have too many links, but also keep in mind quality beats quantity. I'm sort of curious how that first site is up there though.

Personally? I'd charge $349 a month and make no guarantees. There are no guarantees with SEO. If he doesn't like the progress his site is making after a month or two, he can choose to stop working with you.

Yea that's what I was thinking the links may not be alot but maybe high quality. The first site is random as fuck, I honestly don't know how they ranked, its a single page with a video and then some description about the service. Bewilders me, but yea all the domains are aged except for #4 but it makes up for it in the backlinks. Well thanks for your opinion don it helped me out a lot, I honestly was gonna charge him 50 bucks a month...350 sounds a lot better :p

No problem bro! Yeah $50 a month isn't worth it at all. Never undervalue your skills.
