So i was on my way on Building a Custom PC for IM Purpose only and Found Someone Selling a System with Following Configuration without Display.

  • Intel Core i5-4460 Processor.
  • Gigabyte GA-B85M-Gaming 3 Motheboard.
  • Corsair vengeance ddr3 8gb x 2 total 16gb RAM.
  • 1tb Seagate HDD.
  • 450 watt Seasonic SMPS.
  • Corsair Spec 01 Cabinet.
  • Cooler Master Gaming Keyboard and Mouse.

According to my Calculation if i go out now and buy all these items brand new, it will cost me around $600.

This Guy has Used this system for 10 months and is selling it for $360 with invoice.

Should i buy it off?

Depends on what warranty is left on it.
If it packs up in 3 months you might face a hefty bill, where if you buy brand new you have peace of mind.

Processor has 15 months warranty left. RAM and Motherboard have 10 years warranty.

Offer $280. That's what I'd do ;-)
Then spend the difference on an SSD drive and it'll be a great machine.

I already have a Samsung SSD and would be attaching it if i go ahead and buy this.

You Don't think its worth it for $360?

Good the SSD will work well. OK, I guess its worth $360 - especially as drive is the most likely part to go wrong and you are replacing that with an SSD anyway. You could even sell the drive on to recoup a little bit more. But it doesnt hurt to try and get it even cheaper does it?

Correct... Will be installing OS on the SSD and the HDD will be for Storage purpose only. I am not able to find a seller or even dealer who can provide me this Config at same price.

Boils down to how quickly the sellers needs the cash.

Offer $260 to start out , barter at $10 a time & then agree to meet half way @ $310
