How Much Would IT Cost To Re-Create This Software?

This is a software that you need to install on your computer. Why don't you try something different.... offer the similar service fully online. Once you are into installers, you will have to deal with a lot of QA and compatibility issues.
There are some open source modules (i.e. open project, osticket, etc) that can be added together to get similar output.
If you want to recreate the same application (as is), I think it might range from 1500 to 2500 (depending on the coder's location). But whatever you do, ask for documentation

I like the online idea, because then I don't have to create a MAC version of it, and a PC version of it. PLUS people would be able to access the program through their iPads and Playbooks, it does seem the most smartest thing on the planet to do...
BUT...
Can the security behind it be legit enough so it wouldn't be hacked, or broken into easily? So the process goes...
