I am in the pre-launch stages of starting a private proxy service. Before, I take this further, I would like to know your views on the pricing.

What according to you is the best price for a Private Proxy ?

Will you prefer a shared proxy or a private exclusive proxy ?

Is there any demand for international proxies? if yes, which country?

Is there any demand for exclusive private web proxies such as www.proxy.org ?

Whats more important? Speed or Privacy Or location of proxies?

If you could beat something like cloakfish that would be great. Speed, Privacy, and location are all important.

More specifically about pricing, here are cloakfishes rates:

4 proxies per day for 30 days = $9 per month
    15 per day for 30 days = $19
    30 per day for 30 days = $38
    150 per day for 30 days = $64
    unlimited = $99

I'd like a private proxy with great speed....If you can beat packetflip for their 25 private proxies @ $50. I don't need that many and I want to have 1 for different country. UK, for instance.

    Brilliant...

Would IP ranges matter? I mean, would you subscribe if the IPs are allocated from a single location. IE - NY or from a specific IP range 172.14.xx.xx, x2, x3

ClockFish s entirely a different architecture. We would be launching something similar to PacketFlip.

Our service will defenitly be a lot cheaper than packet flip. I am trying to understand the user requirements so we can be prepared to serve the demand.

I'm in the networking industry for the last 8 years so we are confident to make this as smooth as possible. We are initially planning on launching with two IP range locations and slowly upgrade based on the demand.

I would like to know what contents would you guys be accessing the most? As in, CL Posting ?

We have plans to allow only a certain domains / IPs to be accessed through the proxies to avoid possible abuse. Based on requests we can allow other sites. This is because we will be having the proxies setup in some of the best colocations so they will not tolerate abuse. Will this work ? Or should the access be open sites / ips without flitering.

This service is aimed ONLY for enabling users to bypass the limitations of providers such as CL but in NO way to offer shield for illegal purposes such as SPAMs.

Please include your feature requests .

I don't know the difference between VPN and private proxy, but I want to be able to post on CL. I would like different areas, non abused proxies and of course private, not shared. Let me know as soon as you get this up and running as I am interested. I buy low, low volume for low count posting.

We may not be able to give you different area options as this service is aimed at affordable pricing. However, all the IPs will be private & virgin. Guaranteed speeds and reliability.

The service will will be available soon this week. I'l post a thread in sales section once its available.

Guys please suggest a name for the new proxy service.!

Would like proxies in Eurpoe. UK, DE, IT, FR would be top priorities in that order, then ES, BE, DE, NL etc. Would be prepared to pay more than US rates for Euro proxies if they are private and have decent performance and no bandwidth limits.

    VPS> private reverse sock5> VPN > proxy = ftw
    or the other way round.
Anything public keep logs no matter what they
tell you. always keep "private" in between.

Thank you all for the update.

I have submitted the proxy for review to the mods. Once we receive their approval, an official sales thread will be listed on proxy for sales section.

I think you should consider offering a muti-geo package.

Would be great to buy a pack of US / UK / Cdn all mix together without having to buy 3 diff. pack for each country.

And of course, make sure they are fast

We are already working on adding international IPs to our network. If there is enough demand for such a service, we would not hesitate to launch it. We are currently in beta phase.

CDN Proxy is a interesting subject. However, it is very expensive to host on a CDN. We are on the lookout for a cheap CDN. Hope to find a viable network.
