How much unique content do i REALLY need?

hello, i was just wondering how much unique content does a new site really require to rank well?

is 2500 words enough for a new 'micro niche' type of site. I mean will it really make a big difference if it had 1000 or 2500??

And please dont reply saying, 'the more you get, the better' I want to know how much is JUST enough for google to love.

PS. the top 3 sites barely have 500 words on content.

The more content the better. The more original content the better. The more unique the content the better.

The more consistently you add content the better.

The better the ON-Page SEO is, the better..

Don't forget keyword density.

500 words is fine. I have many top ranking one page sites, and are actually dupicate content as well.
But if it's anything I'm putting a bit of effort in, I'll add 2-3 pages.

Minimum of two 500 word articles is fair enough for the site to rank. Cause you need to lower the bounce rate to gain more ranking.

I generally go with a minimum of 5, 500 word articles, and from that point on, add about 1 per week. This is to rank for different keywords, and also to make it look like less of an MFA site (assuming your using Adsense).

ok so far i have people saying: 500 words, 1000 words and 2500 words?!?!?!

how about this, if i have a site ranked number 10, and i have 500 words on it. Will 1000 or 2500 help the rankings even slightly?

Bro, you're looking at it things from the wrong angle.

There is no "magic number" of words that your site should have. But by a general rule of thumb, the more, the better.

You certainly could rank with a single article, but Google does love fresh content.

as much as you can. I always recommend at least 1000 words/ article.

Add an article every 3 days if you want to rank high
