I found a domain name that is pretty popular in searches and whatnot. The only problem is that it has the brand store name in it. How soon would it be before I got in trouble?

I think I can make some good revenue from it and then dump it, is that how that would go?

If its trademarked the can make you surrender the domain. Other than that there is not much they can do.

not much that they can do but notify you to take it down at 1st. if you don't comply with their request though they can sue the pants off you for trademark infringement.

The worst that can happen is that they detroy your life.

No ..wait ... the worst that can happen is that you don't earn any money with it
and then they destroy your life.

You'd think that if the domain was of value, they'd have it already.
If it was me and I had a PLAN for what exactly to do and KNEW I could get the traffic ... I'd go for it as long as your were causing more sales for THEM (affiliate)

My defence would be the above plus the viewpoint of
"They have an olbligation to defend their trademark by virtue of registering these domains, if they are of value to them". Judge would think: "Good point"

However you'd still prolly have to surrender the domain eventually.
Or take the first reasonable offer they give you. But some will move right to legal action and civil damages, in which case this will cost you some $$$.
