How much toll do i have to pay USA->EU?

How much toll do i have to pay if i buy something on US ebay and i want to ship it to EU (Central East Europe, part of the European Union)
Let's say i buy a lappy for $500.00, how much is the toll? (I'm not asking about the shipping fee, just the toll)

Well i think this one depends on the exact country, even if it is a member or not of the European Union. The easiest way to learn this, is just call the Customs Office and ask. Or you can just ask the shipping company that will deliver the thing to you..

In the UK, they charge you VAT on the purchase price. The shipping company (which deliver to you at your end) then adds an over the top administration fee - on cheap items the admin fee is more than the vat.

Ask the seller if they would put a different smaller amount in the customs forms. If they are doing insurance and the pay out is based on the declared amount, then you won't be able to declare a lower amount on the customs forms.

it's not for me, one of my friends used to buy cheap notebooks (with little damage) on the UK ebay and (repairs &) sells them with high profit, ~$500.00 per each...there're always dumb people who don't know how much does it worth what they're selling and now he'd like to buy some on the US ebay as well, so that's why im asking, because if he buy something on the UK ebay, he doesn't have to pay any toll but it's inside the EU

and what word is used for toll? customs, duty or toll?
