I never had adwords campaign. I'd like to play a bit with paid traffic, to see how it works since i like to learn from practice.
So how much would you recommend to go with for start?

Or maybe better question would be how many clicks to my landing page would be say enough to have some numbers to compare? When can i claim that my conversion rate is x%?

I've found a niche for authority site with little competition and before i start with it would like to test it to see is it untapped niche or not worth the effort.

Thanks

If you just starting out, I wouldn't start with Adwords If I were you.

But If you really like to test it, go for content network rather than search. It's cheaper.

I would drop atleast 100 to get something to play with. But honestly somewhere along 100-350 should be good enough to get a good read, if you know what you are doing and your clicks arent too expensive.

i was thinking around $1k.. cpc is $1 at most depending on country and kw. my commission is $140.

If you're going to spend that much money I recommend you either do a lot of research first, or pay a little extra and have a professional take care of it for you.

I've got a squidoo lens you should read. covers AdWords extensively. add me to skype and i'll link it to you - jeremyccmedia

I think it is good to contact a adwords expert to help you. When you startup a campain yourself, it can cost a lot of money and not valuable clicks.

Hi Mate,

It would be really great if you will start Adwords campaign with $100. I would say you will get around 100 clicks in that & also depends on niche & competition of that particular keywords.

When you start doing Adwords, you will typically get contacted by Google and have a chat with them. Or you can just contact them yourself. They're able to get you started.

EDIT: lol this thread is 4 years old.
