How do you guys go about figuring this out? I have a couple domains I'm looking to sell, I think they are good ones.. but I have no idea how much I should sell them for. I don't want anyone taking this the wrong way, so I'll keep the actual domains out of it; but how do you usually determine a asking price?

Most of the times the value of a domain is the registry fee. If the domain is developed (has traffic, pr, etc.) than the price goes up.

agree unless is a one word domain or LLL domain then it may have value, otherwise it wouldn't be too good

but for me is, i like the domain i want to get x amount, if someone pay i sell it, otherwise keep it for yourself, and after you sell it, no matter if the domain got resell for 10000000, don't be angry because you arleady got you think its worth for...

also if you are not selling it in a rush, park them with sedo and see if someone will offer it someday, i have sold couple domain there before from the range of low $xx to high $xxx

You can post the parking stats of your domain in DNForum and NamePros. Domains earning $30/month can be sold there for $300 or more.

If you can do bit more work on creating a website and then selling it, it will earn you more rather than selling domains.
It is the most suitable way and you will get more money.
Domain selling won't earn you as much as we expect
