How much to pay student writer?

You can get a good writer for 1,5-2 bucks per 100 words. Not sure about if the guy will be native, though. You can try to browse local webmaster forums from Eastern Europe. The freelancers there work cheaper and throw some decent articles, no matter the price. If your gig is long term and you are ready to pay on time, without asking for too much, you are good to go! Good luck!

this is the kind of job that most people pay by the word, 1$ for 100 words is considered low quality content (simply check the writers here on BHW that take that price). a native content writer will simply laugh....

YOU can write 10 articles in 3 hours, most people can't and won't. if you are willing to pay a person for 1 500 words article per 1 hour then certainly 50$ for 3 hours is fair... but you'll never get a person who will write 10 articles within 3 hours with no research for 50$ - unless you want curated content that is...

if you can write that fast, then i don't see a reason why you wouldn't do it yourself, at least at first until you start making a profit from you website... then you can pay an actual fair amount for a quality native writer.

this is my personal opinion of course, you might find a sucker who'll take the job...

by the way, i'll certainly hire you for 1$ per 100 words if you can crank up good original articles super fast.

scratch that... i just saw your iTrade score:

I don't need money so I won't write for money unless I need money, so that's a no to the offer.

However you misunderstand. I want to hire 1 guy, who already KNOWS the stuff. Not a writer, or a random person from bhw. I want to hire a student who knows about tech as much as I do. If they do they can easily write 10 articles in 5 hrs at least. 0 research needed.

Content isn't cheap OP, just because he's a student doesn't mean you should be low-balling him price wise.

Everybody has bills to pay, and quite frankly if this student is any good at writing (as well as a Native English speaker/English connoisseur) he should be hovering around $1.50-$3/100 words.

Gotta spend money to make money, and since content is king you don't want to cut any corners (or piss off your potential moneymaking writer)

Do you think I could do this:

Give list of Keywords, they choose which they prefer to write and find easiest, Images are provided, Videos are provided.

- 1 Test article I request for free (Not going to be used) to see how good they are
- 5$ Per 500 word article or 10$ per 1,000 Word article starting pay.
- After 100 articles written they get pay rise to 7.5$/500 word article or 15$/1000 word article. (Must be good quality)
- After 500 articles written the get pay rise to 10$/500 word article or 20$/1000 word article. (Must be really good quality)

Something like this is do-able? I do all research for them, and they choose keywords from huge list that they already know about so no research.

I see!! $1 per 100 words for a student is cool anyways!!

I think I will start with 1$/100 words, and then see if they are good and raise as they get better. I am willing to pay a large amount if it earns me money, but before I earn money I don't want to pay too much because I need a lot of content

It depends. I pay 10 USD for 300 Words and that is in my opinion still not much money but have a need for good work, not just some copy pastet blogposts from wikipedia or somewhat. (no risk for google penalty / duplicated content)

It depends upon the quality of contents but normally rate is 1$ for 100 words. On the other, it may increase or decrease keeping in view the writer's contents quality.

I know something about article writing and it's price as well. For 500 words article $5 is perfect.

Honestly man, price isn't that bad. What you are looking for are people that are capable of writing a lot (which is not easy to come by). I'm not sure how exactly you're finding these students, but I live in a HUGE college town, and when I offered writing gigs for this price, I had to beat people off me with a stick.

You're on the right track picking the keywords for them. Basically the less work/research they need to do the better, you just want them to write.

Seriously, which is better - delivering pizza or working from home??

Good luck man, took me a minute to find reliable people, but they're out there.

Awesome :) I'll start with 1$/100 words and then pick the good ones and give them a raise if I start earning.

1$ - 100 words for a student writer is good if the article is a quality and unique.

While you may see $1500 as high for a month, only giving $1 per 100 words does not seem like that much. Students that put hard work into the article deserve to be compensated, so if you can not afford that, then maybe you could offer something else as an incentive?

One thing to consider OP is paying your writer with knowledge. I have a lot of experience with hiring student writers. Honestly, many of them are willing to work for free if they believe it helps their careers.

Every school's journalism department will have a job board. You can contact them and post your job.

Really I think it's time you stop thinking about it and just jump in and learn from experience. With that said, though, college kids have their problems. Some weeks they will be overloaded with school work. During holidays and vacation they may not work. In general they may be unreliable.

I wish you luck, but it seems like you think it should be way easier than it is in real life.

If this student writer provide good quality of content and provide unique content so that this rate is correct, because money are no more important in market but unique content and good quality of contents are more than important.

So that this rate is correct. I am working of SEO market, So that I have more than content writers so I provide 5$ per content 500 words but I have low quality writers so I provide different rate as well I provide 2.5$ per content 500 words.

So that this rate is correct. You can provide 1$ per content 100 words.
