How much would it cost to get a website to the front page of google? Maybe even the number one search for a certain keyword? Keep in mind it isn't a very popular niche/keywords (since it has the name of my city in it).

approximately 42 thousand dollars (money).

but honestly, there isn't a set value to "get on the front page of google"

Can't be that much thats fucking ridiculous. Like I said theres not that much competition for my keyword. Like "Denver restaurants" cept much smaller community.

It still could be that much........ Have you done any research?

Anyway......No amount of money in the world can BUY you top placement and even if it could its not garenteed to stay there.

If you trying to pay to get their something tells me you havnt done any research.......have a look more around here and if you put your mind to it it will cost you.......

$0.00

Its not that hard once you know how :)

I'm by no mean any SEO expert, so base my opinion on that. As you allready mentioned, your keyword/phrase is ofcourse the essentsial thing here. I've made it to google's top 10, with many low competition keywords(5k and under). I've done most of the work myself, and with some blackhat tools. It hasn't cost me more than a couple of hundred dollars, for more than 30 sites :)

But as allready mentioned, it's not possible to put a price on how much it will cost. Everything depends on how you do it.

this is what I wanted to hear. Thanks. I am planning to outsource it which is why I don't know if I have the time to do it myself.

Here's a simple blueprint

Buy 500 Directory Submission, the low profile the directories the better, it means it takes days before link is indexed, making your site appear slowly acquiring links. Make sure you use your main keyword for the title and description. Cost is only $20

Pligg submission, comment using your link, do 100 comments a day every day. Cost is free to $20

Article marketing, have someone write and submit your articles to premium directories. At least 5-10 articles. Don't forget to include your actor text which is your main keyword on the author bio. You're allowed to have 2. Cost is $50-$100 depending on quality.

Make a simple video upload it to youtube. Use your main keyword on the title, description and tag. Don't forget to put your absolute URL on the description. Cost is free to $10

Ask a question on yahoo answers with your main keyword on the question. Then using another IP, answer the question with your URL.

Do this last since links tend to be indexed fast. Do social bookmarking. Bookmark your article links, video and main site. Mix them, at least 20-30 submissions a day. Cost is $10 to $20

Manual is BEST

SOme companies offer a gurantee top spot or some shit, ask on DP

I quoted a company that charged $20,000. and guaranteed top 10 or your money back. This was a semi competitive keyword.

IT completely depends on how competitive your keyword is.
Pay someone on DP to build links, submit to directories, blog post etc and over time you'll get up there.
It may work out to a few hundred I'd say.

I for one is operating with a partner company that charges 400-600 a month to have you stickied in the top 30!

Of course since the recession happened, those boys were pretty busy with clients. LOL
