    Ok. Here is a deal.

I know this Israeli company that is strugling with their SEO.

They have a SEO contractors but they are waste of time - they cant even rank #1 for their domain keyword (they have one word keyword domain) even with Dmoz and Yahoo directory on board...

Company is big and is making millions offering services through internet.

I have a chance to take over the contract.

I will call them tommorow/after tommorow with offer.

And the thing is - HOW MUCH TO CHARGE THEM?

I have worked with companies and I know pricing list - but I never worked with Israeli and what more I never worked with corporation...

I was thinking about charging them $6.000 a month for domain keyword and basic SEO and $5.000 for every additional keyword (they have 2 of them) (they are competing in very difficult niche), plus option of marketing consulting for 5-7 K a month.

    What do you think?

I dont want to be to cheap, but I dont want to make them bankrupt as well...

Maybe some of you know what are Israeli standards and if around $10.000 a month for SEO is dear or cheap.

    Waiting for some constructive replies.

I have no idea but i might suggest you charge :

    1. per hour
    2. percentage of their potential revenue from traffic
    3. ad cost X number of click for first ranking website X arbitrage number ( i.e you would pay that much but i will do it for half price).

The above might be nosense but good luck with the project anyway^^

I dont charge per hour - Its a service and thats the last thing I want to do...
Percentage is not good option as I cant follow their revenues... What is more I would be forced to pay $2.000 maintenance costs a month with a danger that I nevere get paid...
The thing is that I want to give them fixed price - As on the beginning I will have large maintenance costs - after few months most of this money will be clean profit...
    Thanks anyways, more suggestions?

Do you need the business badly? If not, go with 10k and they can negotiate down if they like. If you really need it, then start lower. Without knowing the keywords, it is all guessing on our end.

Make sure to get paid prior to working unless you are in Israel. Keeps you from getting stiffed. Always do this with any international client.

If they have millions to play around with, then I would charge them $10,000 per month and each additional keyword would be $7,000 per month.

The point is can you do the job?

If you can, then charge a good amount, and if you can't then don't bother risking your reputation because corporations will have lawyers come after you.

Well last thing you want to do is work cheaper than you have been working before....

You want to take the approach that you are flexible with the amount you can work for them but the time scale before they see top rankings really depends on their budget!

The quicker they want top rankings the more they pay each month and that you can also adapt your campaigns for them based on their budget constaints.

That way they give you a figure (hopefully) and you can just give guidelines on what you charged people before and what the achieved and in how long etc etc

Sometimes when I am not sure what to charge I just ask the customer. By this time you should have talked to them enough that they now know you and trust you. So if the company they have now is crap and they are charging 5k.

Next part comes in is do your home work know what sites companies are going to to get quotes. I would say for this size company they would have been quoted around 10 to 15k a month.
SO I would come in at 8 k and then go up on price per key term. And give them reason why they should go with you.

Tell them to give you 3 months. If you cant move the ranking in 3 months then they can walk away.
