I have a web design client that is now interested in PPC. Their monthly budget is $2k USD. AdWords only.

I remember reading 15% +/- of the budget was a healthy fee to charge but I'm not sure $200 a month is worth my time, for the amount of tweaking and reporting that would be required. They are only targeting 6 keywords.

Any advice on whats standard concerning charging clients for PPC. Is there a setup fee, Do you charge monthly or by the year, do you their credit card for adword billing or your own, etc?

Charge them a fee to setup the campaigns & then charge a "managment fee".

I mean this is exactly the kind of shit post I hate reading on this forum, not your fault OP, I am not saying you're stupid but you have posted a stupid thread.

This is super easy, anyone can work this out.

It's this:

The amount you think you're worth an hour X the number of hours it will take = your fee

If you think you're worth $50 an hour and it will take 10 hours... its $500.

Why is this difficult?

Everytime I read one of your posts or replies it annoys me. You keep talking about how everyone now post useless stuff but man.. I have not seem you post one decent thing since you create your new account. All you do post negative stuff and/or annoying stuff. This is getting on my nerves.

To answer your question ; I charge a $350 setup fee + 20% of the monthly budget to my customers. Once everything is setup in adwords it only takes a few minutes a day to send out reports.

Never use your own credit card. I have been in a situation where a client wanted me to use my own credit card and pay later. It worked out great the first four months.. Then I had a hard time grtting my "money" back.

You have quoted a post where I have helped the OP solve his issue on how calculate how much he should charge people and you say none of my posts are of any use?

I don't know what to say, maybe you were dropped on your head as a child... but what makes you think I give a threepenny fuck if my posts please you or not?

I have quoted a post where u were making fun of someone who was asking a question. You clearly wanted OP to feel dumb for no reason and it's not the first time i've seen you do that. I have no idea why you are doing it, it's unnecessary.

I honestly do not know how you have picked that up from my post.

I answered his question, if you want to moan at someone for posting something totally off topic and agressive for no fucking reason look at yourself. You're a disgrace Hugo.

In your last 10 posts you told OP 5 times (50% of the time) that they were a good example of "shitposts" and you are clearly just having a bad day or you are simply the biggest asshole on this forum.

Either way, I am done dealing with you. I just wish there was a option in my control panel where I could just not see your posts anymore.

I think the reason people ask is they are afraid to price themselves because they fear being shot down for being expensive or costly therefore someone else can come along and undercut them.

If you feel you are worth 1,000 dollars then by all means charge that to the price of being in the game with you.

Personally, if I am running your PPC since it's healthy and time consuming, and then you need to add in factors such as are you
1. Researching
2. Testing
3. losses/gains
4. ad copy

Whether someone knows it or not, there is a lot to factor in doing someone else's ad campaigns. If they have a 2,000 dollar budget and they are serious about results. I would charge 750-800 for my time because with that type of budget, they will be generating way more than what they are paying you.

Good luck!

Costing depends on quality of your work, if you are good in making campaigns and able to get good ROI, sky is the limit,
for the same job people would be doing for 100USD whereas someone for 15ooUSD also, work is same but result and quality of work is different, any client will pay you any amount happily if you can make him earn 10 times the amount spent on you. I hope you understand.
