How much time does it take to index any post?

My post gets indexed only after 3 days. Is this normal or is it taking time more than usual? Can anyone explain? Thanks

@https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/nigesh.824268/, on my websites, it only takes a few minutes to hours to get a newly-published article indexed. If I want to expedite it, I submit it for manual indexing via Google Search Console.
 
It probably has a lot to do with your website and how google sees it, as well as your SEO tools. Mine ping Google (and Bing and one other) to let it know of the new article and it gets indexed pretty quickly. I also submit to the search console if I'm really fired up to get the post indexed... which I usually am, or when I've updated the article.

I produce new content every couple of weeks, sometimes 1 article, sometimes more. Just depends when the muse strikes. That's probably why I hit the search console because Google isn't expecting regularly updated content.
 
In most cases, Google will crawl your site depending on how regularly you post content. If you are used to posting content once every week, then Google will typically crawl your site once every week.

Of course, there are other factors to consider. One of them is inbound links from top authoritative blogs. Another is social media sharing. These will generally cause your blog to index much faster.
 
Sometimes it gets index instantly but shows up late in the google search.
 
If your site is more famous then your article will get index in few minutes.Otherwise normally it takes 1 or 2 days also so 3 days is normal so you write the quality article and update your site regularly means your article also indexing soon.
 
You can get a blog post indexed within a second,The best way to get a page indexed is manually submitting your blog post url.
 
The search engine takes a lot of factor into consideration when indexing a post - whether it is good content, whether it has high engagement, whether it is fresh content. I think 3 days indexing is still very good - there are times where it may take 1 week or 1 month to get indexed. Using various techniques to index can also speed up the process to maybe just 1 hour, but I think your indexing time is doing alright.
 
I usually publish a link at reddit making around 10 upvotes with HQ accounts than you will see it indexed 1 day later

Never knew this. Makes sense though. Even though I am posting articles twice weekly I still expedite them with google search console. Just seems like good practice to me.
 
Submit your sitemap to search console and you'll get indexed quickly even without submitting each url.

Doesn't mean you'll start ranking though, but if you search for the exact url it'll be there.

New sites take a lot longer.

Google indexing depend on your article they consider impact factor of articles, url structure, sitemap settings etc
after posting article, submit url to Google Search counsel
then open incognito (private browser)
search your keywords / url
In Google search page go to Tools (last option)> Click "Any Time" then drop-down & changed to "Past Hour" you can see your url,

Now a day Google index very fast

What I normally do is to go to Google Webmaster Tool and manually submit by URL for indexing and usually within few minutes it will show up on google
 
If you put up posts frequently, crawlers would identify those posts in a frequent manner.
 
Just post you url via Google Search Console.
it will give you benefit. If you don't mind, maybe you can use plugin like Yoast that help to index your url almost instantly.
