Really tired of choose theme at theme websites one by one because of don't know how to design. How do you choose your wordpress theme? Dose hire one at fiverr to do this job sounds realistically?

Open themeforest and choose category.
I really enjoy searching for new themes. Every time I see some cool design ideas.

I only use Genesis. They have a limited number of themes so I don't spend a lot of time trying to choose a theme.

On my last two websites I used minimalist themes. They are really, very gorgeous.

I spent...hm. Maybe about an hour going through them trying to figure out what I wanted. I test the themes out first on the demos and try to see them in action on other sites. Then I just install the one I want, tailor it and keep going.

I do know html and a little bit of php but fuck designing. That's why I have Wordpress. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I basically know 95% Wordpress themes and when I have some idea I just find this theme in my head, but if you are newbie you can spend days and days surfing through Themeforest and get some new ideas

You must have a great memory :P
To answer OPs question, I have a very customizable premium theme and I usually use that. I change it from time to time when looking for something really specific or when I build PBN websites.

you talk some shite

I don't care about theme, if i love design from a person i hire them

Finding the right theme is essential, it's pretty much the base for your website itself.

Take as much time as you need.

Unless I purchase a premium theme or use one I already have, I usually upload about 10 different free themes and choose one based on the following factors:

  • What's unique about the theme?
  • What modifications do I have to make to make this theme even better?
  • Does it function as described?
As for how I choose the initial 10 themes, I take a look out what competitors the website I'm creating has and try to find a theme with a similar layout (although not a similar design).

generally the more widgets the better thats why i like genesis, parallax because i know using that theme will cover most designs.

My personal opinion is Alterna or Porto theme then I customise it and change like 90% you can't even notice it is themeforest ttheme I'm avoiding custom page builder from theme like use be theme it makes me more trouble than use....

It really takes a lot of time for me to choose the perfect theme for a new website as I want to make sure that it will look great on the view of my readers. So if it takes you a lot of time, that's fine. Once you have no doubts on the last theme you chose, that's better.
