How much time do you spend rewriting your content?

As I've started to order articles, I notice that I still end up spending 2-3 hours cleaning up the articles and making them so friendly, putting in keywords, adding content. How much time do you guys spend going back through and editing your articles? I still am working on my first site, so it seems like it would be impossible to maintain this over anything past 3 or 4 sites

I myself started to write articles but its time consuming and when I order articles , I took 30 minutes to modify each articles.
 
If you hire experienced writers, you may not have to do anything after they have delivered.
 
Hmm, that's what I was wondering. How much do you guys usually pay for writers whose articles you don't have to edit?
 
I write my own articles and the only time I rewrite articles (rewrite as in clean them up) is when I notice an older article is beginning to see more traffic. I also occasionally rewrite my popular articles and include more information in them if necessary.

You're really going to have to pay for that. About 3-5 cents or more per word. That's the only way you're going to find articles you won't have to clean up.

You get what you pay for, especially when it comes to copy.
 
I usually do manual spinning with Spinner Chief and took 40-50 minutes to clean it up... but that depends on the keyword difficulty.

However, since many BHW members recommending TBS with tweaked setting, I'm going to give it a shot in near future.

In addition to being in agreement with alwaysinvincible's reply, you have to be detailed in your instructions. Go the extra mile to include a sample of one of the articles you have edited. Usually, this will only be required for the first couple of orders, or when you make an order requesting a different style.

A lot of clients do not want to develop a relationship with their writers or writing agency. Sure you are pressed for time, but doing the needful at the beginning will save you the stress and time associated with editing or sending the completed article back for revision.
 
I write my own article sometimes it will take up to 3 hours since research is needed in the article.
 
I don't write articles and usually just order it from the BST here, so far the result are great!
 
Good question actually, ZimGorilla.

I used elance (now upwork) to write 12 articles. I had to go through each one and rewrite them a bit. Although the writer wasn't bad, they needed touched up with keywords, and some rewording that made more sense to the reader. All in all I probably spent about three hours fixing these before posting them on my website.

It was still worth the money for them to get me the articles, as I didn't have the desire to write them myself, and I didn't mind personalizing them once I got them from the writer.
 
When i used to blog i didnt spend more than 15 minutes writting, the time spent writting doesnt really matter, what matters is the quality of the content you bring to the table
 
I am spending too much time writing and editing articles, that's why I prefer to hire a copywriter.
 
Rewriting from scratch should take half an hour, if you are conversant with the niche. But to fix re-written articles, it could either be a 5 minuted thing or might even take you days if you choose an incompetent writer.
 
Pay a writer to do it for you. You can really find some good content writers that do not charge an arm and a leg and the content is good.
 
Minimum 30 minutes and maximum 1hr it will consume to rewrite the content friendly and would be better to read. Try to avoid much difficulty words my dear friend.
 
Even paying 5 cents per word, you still need to do some editing. A comma here, typo there. A different phrase perhaps to suit the theme of your website / audience. But only a few minutes.

I've had samples and content from the 1 cent to 2 cent bracket on BHW. I have had to basically bin it all. It didn't read as native and was poor quality. I have found some good writers on fiverr for the same price (1 to 2 cents) and the quality is almost the same as 5 cents. In my experience Fiverr is better value than BHW (sadly, as I love it here).

However, my writing skills are o.k. I expect to edit. What I do is buy writers for their knowledge and experience of the subject matter. I know nothing about how a flux capacitor works. So I'll look for a writer who does.

I pay $10-$15/1000 words. Its depend that, what kind of writer and content actually I need. Then I hired. I checked 2 or 3 articles randomly, If I see any problem in there, I returned all articles. If I see "its cool". Then I never spent no more time to check that.
 
I took around 2 hrs per 500 words articles, not native English.
