Hi, I am trying to asses and decide what to do with a domain I’ve got lined up to purchase.

How much should I pay for a domain like this?

Very good backlinks on a cooking niche.

I Didn’t pull those, that’s why I have just the free backlink checker from ahrefs.

If its an expired domain with no traffic and isn't a bunch of random letters in the URL this would probably go for around $5k-8k on domaincoasters or one of those domain reseller sites.

It’s a domain taken over from GoDaddy auctions, 2010 registered and had a fairly big blog on it.

I did not check traffic.

High profile backlinks, actually quite a few

I haven’t checked traffic on it tho.

Should I try to reach out to the old owner and see if I could buy her data base ?

You can rebuild the database using a service with wayback machine (I forgot its name).
If you dont know what you're doing you can pay a guy from fiverr to rebuild the site using this. Total cost would probably be under $200.
