how much should I pay for this aged domain?

I wanted to create a new thread on a topic which is related to my previous post. I really really need help. Please.

To give you some background info:
I want to rank a site as soon as possible. The keyword has 1000 searches a month. If I get one client, I can make somewhere between $1,000 to $10,000. It really varies but it's usually in that range. out of every 100 people that click, only 1 or 2 end up converting. If I was number one for this keyword, let's say I would get 60% of the clicks.

Now someone has a domain for sale.
domain was created in 2004
no backlinks
no drops

if I buy it, the domain would not drop. Owner would to transfer it to me, domain age will stay.

now, regarding the existing site, it's is basically an informational site not a professionally made one. It has 10 pages indexed, each page has 400 words.
If I bought this domain, the homepage would probably have to be completely changed because it sucks.
the other pages, I could keep just for search engines to crawl them and see they are still there. But I would not show them to my visitors.

How much should I offer for this domain (if anything)? what advantages does this domain offer over a brand new domain (if any)?

Please offer some advice, I really need help regarding the above questions. If you need more info, I will gladly provide it.

Here are a few elements to consider:

Backlinks: If there are no backlinks to your site, it's probably still a PR0, you would still need to create a lot of backlinks to rank for competitive terms just as for a new domain.

Domain Authority: Check with Moz to see if it has any Domain Authority.

Exact Match: Is it an exact match with your main keywords? If so, it might be good to consider it.

Ranking: Is the site already generating traffic from its 10 pages? If so, it might be good to consider it.

Price: But it all comes down to what you will pay for it and what it's worth.

If the domain is interesting because it's an exact match, that it has some DA and because it has some traffic already I might be willing to pay up to 100$ for the domain MAX.
If it's not an exact match and that there's no traffic, I wouldn't buy it. Personally I always prefer to start from scratch because I control everything.

Nonai this is the same thread you made previously and I would advise you to give it a shot and buy it if he is not asking to much
money for it. If you are about to spend a lot of money then do a free search with ahrefs and check it out first.

PR is 0, domain authority is 11. It's not an exact match but partial exact match. The site is not generating traffic. The pages are written in good English (no spun content) but they are not promotional, it looks like an informational site.
I thought the old domain age = trust in google's eyes = rank faster or easier to rank? I dont know who told me this. is that wrong?

What's your definition of "too much"
I gave the numbers in my original post (how much per client, etc) so is $1 too much? is 1000 too much?
Again, my problem is, I dont know the advantages of having this aged domain. does aged = more trust = rank faster or easier to rank?

I don't think having solely an aged domain would bring particular advantages in Google's eyes. However if it was aged with a ton of backlinks and good PA/DA, I would consider it. In my eyes it all depends how much you want the domain term. I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. That's just my 2 cents.

The old domains is good in google eyes ... is wort a try to pay a some $ for it !

Don't forget to check if it's banned. Might be a good thing to bargain the price
