How much should I charge for orm? Link removal

Hello to everyone.

I'm about to start out offering online reputation management services and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much I should charge for these services?

Ofcourse that is a very broad question and many specific details need to be taken into account prior to finalizing a price for a job but I'd just like to get a general idea of how much I can/ should charge clients for this service.

What I will be doing exactly is attempting to get negative links removed for my clients.

Looking forward to any feedback.

Why not take a look at what your competitors are charging?
 
Yes I can see different companies charging anywhere from $2k per month to $5k per month depending on the company. I wanted to hear the opinions directly from bhw members just to get an idea of how much cheaper (if so) their rates might be or what rates should be around in order to get clients.
 
My packages start at around $1000-1500.
Pricing will depend on competition and keyword searches along with many other things.
 
How on earth can you charge monthly? It is a result driven service.

Says who? ORM is online reputation "management". You literally manage a complete search term. Its more of a maintenance fee rather than getting on the top.
SEO is not the same as ORM.

Those are pretty good prices actually, do you also offer removal of links or just burying content?
 
I think it depends. I also think OP doesn't have a clue as to what he is getting into, no offense intended.

According to a guide I read it is not as easy as a few Fiverr gigs to get bad links removed. In fact, removing is not even in the picture.
But, the same guide also warned a couple of times about wannabe rep managers. They do more damage than good because they focus on the wrong thing: Offense, attack, destroy, keel!!11!!

But erm, depending on what you need to get removed it can take a fast track from 5k to 20k and more. There is work to be done, bills to be paid...
Don't think of the 20K as fast profits in this regard, you will actually need it. According to the guide anyways :P

Just my two cents. :)
 
No one can answer that question for you as each case is going to be different depending on the extent of the damage done.

It's kind of like asking "how much should I pay to fix my car?"

Well that depends. Do you need an oil change or a new engine?

Every situation will be different, and based on your judgement of how much work it will take you should charge accordingly.

This. You have to quote judging on how much work is involved.

Well in one sense you may be right, while I am still learning each day I will always strive to expand my knowledge in the field.
As to being more than getting a few Fiverr gigs, that would be pretty obvious and I would imagine most who offer orm would not use or rely on Fiverr gigs to get any results.

But in your last paragraph you did bring some light to the purpose of my thread and I appreciate that. Each case would be different yes and would have to be charged based on the amount of work to be done. But I am getting a much better idea of what others charge so thanks.

I don't see a problem in using a few gigs but that is me I guess. I just think it is important to remember what the goal is and order accordingly. Fiverr has nice video options for instance. (Yes, that is related to the topic. :P)

Anyways, I think you misunderstood my answer so let me rephrase it:
You have a cost per hour, the services you need to pay for like hosting, vps/vpn/proxy, Fiverr and etc have costs too. Then there is the question of how many hours of work the customer believes it to be.

Combine that and you have your answer, you should also consider this a long term solution. It won't be fixed within 2 months if the customer is on a reputable website.
Also, the objective shouldn't really be to remove, or to attack for that matter. That is how things backfire, costing even more to clean up.

I have a feeling this will go horribly wrong, no offense intended. But, you indicated you are just starting out and willing to learn so all hope is not lost I think. :) Just keep learning a bit before you take on a customer. :P

I think you're straying from the topic of this thread. It was asking how much to charge or how much is a link removal service worth.
Fiverr has nothing to do with my thread and it seems you are making all these assumptions and interjections. As to my methods, this is something you have absolutely no knowledge of so lets try to stay on point.

The answer to OPs question varies with clients situation, resources required to provide solution, and timeframe of required results, but can go anywhere from 500 - 5000$ /month on average, can be allot more depending on severity of situation.
