How much searches does a keyword need?

I would'nt touch them.

If the first page of any keyword search is big sites with big budgets and big staff then you are not going to touch them unless you have a lot of money to spend.

As suggested above look for longtail keywords that you think you can rank for. You might not rank for "Garden Sheds" but you might rank for "Plastic tool shed" or something more microniche like "Green Plastic Tool Shed"
Actually I am trying to sell something from Amazon. Ebay also sells the same product.So how can I get a keyword without amazon showing on the search results?
 
It's all depends upon your niche as well as the keyword volume. While searching you have to look keyword volume, it's competition and then select your targeted keyword.
 
there's no specific keywords depending on your site niches.
 
Huh I've asked the same question as the OP in a few threads - glad I stumbled upon this one. From what I've seen most people say, they don't bother with less than 1,000 c/m, though it does make sense that really focused niches could still convert with less.
