In my possession I have Terabytes of music, videos, HD movies etc. Nothing but the best. Off and on I have been pondering the idea of either a private torrent site or a download site with the attitude of TPB. I would need to read up on copyright rules and regulations per country, have my servers in some DMCA ignored country with a seedbox yadda yadda. But what about ICANN? what is the best extension to use if I decide this venture and what would I expect once I piss off enough people?

Sure IP works but it only goes so far. I know the expenses involved in such a venture the only thing I cannot figure out is ICANN's role in all of this.

i like to keep an eye on
Code:
[URL="http://zmovie.tv/"]http://zmovie.tv[/URL] now [URL="http://zmovie.tv/"]http://zmovie.[/URL]co
as they have one probably the top movie sharing website, and every few months they seem to have to switch domains, and one of their tld's will be snatched. They used to have a different name too, so you obviously have to stay flexible, and have mirrored backups ready to go again at the drop of a hat.

Wonder how TPB keeps the .se and .sx domains, that would be the key to keeping your brand.

Thanks for the reply. at first glace it looks like some type of mirror site with a pretty confusing interface. If I could figure out how to negate the bandwidth costs I would just stream everything. This seems pretty unethical though if my site became viral. Magnet links seem to be the norm but that can be confusing to internet users. What I want to create is a place for the 90 year old grandmother that doesn't even know where the start button is to be able to watch re-runs of the golden girls or the price is right(which I have the entire sets of)

I want to be the next "big thing" which would put me way over my head at this point in the game. it is the domain registration and keeping the domain that has me puzzled. With enough political pressure no domain is safe. I don't understand the work around. ccTLD for TPB is Sint Maarten which seems pretty stable. I cannot understand why ICANN doesn't just pull the plug on anything related to TPB. Yeah, magnet links is technically not hosting anything but their arrogance, especially in the past shows their blatent motives.

I want to go in the same direction
