How much posts per day

How much posts per day is safe without getting your autoblog smacked by Google? I see quite a lot of PR 2 Autoblogs that have like 6 posts per day, but I am not sure .

One of my domains got sandboxed after 2 months, I had 4 blogs on it and used to post at least 40-60 post a day per blog, this happen when the blog started to make some real money
 
I can see 60 posts a day getting you delisted by G. Also, many web hosts will send you the 'email' and tell you to scale it down for that many posts, depending on what tool you're using.

I've gone as high as 30 without a problem.

This is hard question to answer because there are so many variables. The majority of my autoblogs i'm posting between 1 and 10 posts a day.

I never had problem with the web host, only a couple of DMCA emails. I don't see way a web host would complain about 160-240 posts a day.
 
I think 2 to 4 posts a day is enough. Updates your content often enough to keep the bots coming back
 
I'll be making 4 - 12 posts per day I believe. I see a guy who has over 15 posts per day and still has not gotten slapped yet, so I am feeling pretty confident :). Praying this will work out.
 
I post between 30 and 80 but my domains are over 1 year...
 
It also depends on the age of the site, you have to increase the number of posts gradually, they won't sandbox your blog for 60 post daily immediately only after a month this will happen, g00gle will sandbox you for a short period even if you are white hat but it won't last much it the G string dance
 
Many of the 'major' blog sites will post around 30 stories a day. They have been around a while though, and that is the normal frequency. If you are small, start small, then ramp up to around 10 a day perhaps.
 
It depends on what kind of blog/autoblog you have, news or niche and content sources, but 5 posts per day is good enough. More posts doesn't mean more traffic.

Sometimes you may post more but never post more than 30 per day.
I have 3 blogs and I post max 50 in total per day.

So how goes G distinguish between our blogs with 30 posts a day and a full blown news site pumping out 100 a day?

Established trust. A site that has been operating a long time, and has a lot of link support, is not going to be scrutinized the same way a new site with not so much link support is.
