How much plagiarism to be considered plagiarised?

Hi guys,

Just hoping someone is able to clarify this for me.

What determines if the content is plagiarized?

For example:

Article is put through a check like quetext and the results returned as 9% plagiarized. The results returned that some sentences are similar to Website A.
However, upon closer inspection the article has a similar structure (i.e sub topics) and spun content (rearranged sentences and words replaced with similar meanings).

Does this count as plagiarized content? Or are articles that are copied word to word count and have high plagiarism score considered plagiarized content?

I apologize if its confusing and hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Appreciate the share and thanks in advance.

A similar structure doesn't mean it's plagiarised
Exact c/p of an entire paragraph or sentences

If the plagiarism comes from an article that is directly related to my article, I will edit it, but if it's just random common sentences, I usually just leave it be.

9% is ok. This means it is not plagiarized.

But if the website has almost the same structure and wording, sooner or later it will be caught by Google's spam update. At least this is what should happen because according to your post they seem to use some tools to let their content look uniqe.

I agree with this, sometimes its hard not to copy another persons work, especially if you are quoting someone or using some form of reference.

There is no clear definition on this.
But through the journals and guide, below 15% plagiarism is accepted , as there may be similarities in the text by the quote or in the reference lines.
Anything above 15 % is an indidcative of plagiarism
But 25% and above is considered as high percentage of plagiarism and can be shown orange or red flag
