How much my website is worth?

Hi all,

I have a website ranked first page for a search term with 20,000,000 results. It moves from 2nd-5th continuously. So i cannot place an exact position.

The website has PR4, and most likely to increase on next PR.
About 1.5k-3k visits a day.

I make the majority of my money off this website, about $4k in total for some months. I cannot say exactly either, because it varies, some days I can make $300, and some none.

So i was wondering if anyone knows how much this website could go for? I'm not actually going to sell it, or want to, just want a value so I know if I ever did want to sell it how much I should ask for.

You have to tell us what business you are in and how you are making money.

Its hard give valuation without a link too.

Most basic valuation will say 12-24 month of earnings.

That will make 48K - 96K
 
There is no general rule of thumb when it comes to a price of a website but I have heard that 15 months revenue in advance is a reasonable starting point. It could be much less or much more depending on the niche you are in.
 
I would go, and have always heard to go 10 months earnings.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was beginning to think my website was not worth that much, because of loads of sites that analyse just your domain. So now I know my website and domain, what would just the domain be worth?

How is the site making money? Also in my experience people like search engine traffic which is a bonus, and sites that run on auto pilot. See the thing is a lot of people want money for nothing.

If you take a look at some recent sales on flippa for adsense sites then they are going for much more the 10x monthly revenue. There was one that sold for $2,250 or something the other day that was making $75 month through ansense and $25 a month through buy sell ads.

So for around $100 it sold for 22.5 x what it currently makes a month.

PS a site is only worth what the top bidder is willing to pay. :)

But in all honesty sounds like a good site to me..
 
30-40k sounds about right if you are being truthful.
 
most websites go for around 2 to 2.5 times there yearly revenue. It still depends on the websites content and look. the look alone can increase the value alot as with the number of hits a month. just times the yearly by 2 and see if that's enough for you to sell.

LOL. What the fuck are you talking about? I reckon about 1% of websites sell for more than 24 month's revenue...
