Hello,

I would really like to dive into PPC, but I remain confused about some aspect of this business.

So for the ads expert around here, how much search volume per month do you consider interesting to invest around 500 $ /month ?

I found an interesting niche, but its main keyword is only searched around 2K per month. The product I want to promote has a commission of 90 $ per sale.

Thanks

If you're just getting started in PPC, don't look for a "main" keyword with lots of searches. That's the quickest way of losing your money.

I advise you to bid on long-tail keywords using keyword match types in a smart way. That way you're able to spend peanuts but still end up making sales and might actually get a positive ROI at the start of your PPC journey.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I really hope to make positive ROI since the beginning as my budget is not huge yet.

First thing, $500 per month is way too low to decide a winner-loser campaign. We spend thousands to even find a working campaign then tweak our ways to make it worth scaling. Invest, read, examine, try, fail and repeat!

Do u recommend to bid only on exact match and not broad match ? Many exact match long tails ?

If your site is new focus on long tail keyord which has less competition as compare high search volume keyeords

Of course, I'm aware of that, but I'm going to advertise on a narrow niche.
I've already analyzed Ahrefs about its keywords and all the ads and I think it'll be enough to start.
