How much money would you need to be rich?

With 200K USD I'll declare myself retired, make an investment to earn 1% a month (standard, conservative investment in my country can give me that) and I'll travel around living in third and second world countries to live like a king

...I don't need $50,000 a month paying $10 for a carton of milk in those expensive countries

If American about 15 million, would be lower 7.5 if 15 years ago.

Japan wealth is getting hard your taxed on inheritance for each generation, so the more money you have the less your offsprings get.

Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, you need about 200,000 for the rest of your life to live rich,

Germany you would need 22 million USD as the cost of living is high there,

Australia 11 million,

All this is just speculation as so many factors could effect this, how you earned it was it taxed if so you would get less, did you win lotto.

For me personally 50,000 is enough.

When I don't have to work anymore, I will consider myself rich
Maybe 10k usd per month income is enough

For happy life i think there is no limits. $1 also be happy and some are need 100k or more. But for life needs and achieve goals we need $$

For me, it's around 600k in investment, getting 5% a year out of it should be good enough to live a great life.

But I thing even after hitting that number on having a free months / years vacation I get boarded and start working again.
