there is a guy on youtube who has 500,000 subscribers. he claims he is making between $15k and $20k a month. is that true? holy shit so does that mean someone with 5 million subscribers makes between $150k and $200k a month?

Just run them through social blade, that will give you a ball park of what they are making with just YT traffic

I don't think it is possible by views. But He can earn through affiliate marketing.

Subscribers are not an Earning indicator. Views/Reach is the main fact.

$15K-20K is possible (even higher) with the Sponsorship. But with only YouTube Ads/AdSense is not possible.

A relative of mime got over 300k subs and is only earning around $1.2k monthly but I guess coz it is on tier 3 country market.

For big youtubers adsense money is like pocket change. They make the real money from sponsored content.

Depends on the demographic and cpm try social blade it will gives a sight

It will nor be same for all with same number of subscribers. Niche matters, visitors location matters .

Years ago, I used to upload youtube series content and earn money. It would earn close to $1000 for an average of 60,000 views.

It's true youtubers with high subs and lots of video content can make 1000's every month in AD REVENUE. That is just for the Ad's alone they also get sponsorship deals which nets a pretty penny also. But i think you-tube will become a Dinosaur eventually with the rising video stars on TikTok. It might be a good idea to get some sort of video niche on TikTok and start running video ads on there. It's easy to get started with an account which will grow very quickly and faster than that Dinosaur of a you-tube. ;)

There are certain factors will be included, Firstly increase in number of subscribers can help but it really depends on how the content creator regularly engages the subscribers/users with their content is very important. For an instance, if the creator makes a content for technology or fintech, finance related, though there is a limited subscribers but the user interaction will be repeatable for multiple times for same content. This keeps the demand rate at very high. Also the promotional sponsors from companies can bring more revenue retention to the creators.

On the contrary, if anyone engaging the users with a dummy content or falsifying the data just for views, then even they got millions of subscribers it won't be enough. So, quality content, constant increase in subscribers, promotions and sponsorships from external parties on an altogether effect will really bring good revenue to the creators. And it is a thumb rule.
