Hello Guys,

I am getting married in January at new year. My to be wife is really very passionate to see the world. I am planning that I should take her to a world tour for our honeymoon. Can you guys please tell me how much does it take in INR to travel all along this? I asked a travel agent he told me 17 lakhs per person. I think this is too much. Still I want to confirm if you have knowledge. Thanks in advance :)

Well we are talking about a World Tour and am surprised it's like 17 Lakh. Would definitely take a whole lot more.

If it's just visiting various cities and NOT traveling around in them, then maybe yeah,17 Lakh.
Ask her to pick 3-4 cities and visit them and spend 2-3 weeks in them combined. That's better.

Congratulations on getting married though :D

I've seen plenty of "get around the world without any money" blogs, but they might work at each destination to have some money to travel with (haven't looked into them that much, hehe). But maybe a few K will be enough if you are adventurous enough?

A round the world trip is a once in a life time thing for many people and usually takes a while to save up enough money to do it.

Obviously im talking about a proper round the world trip that takes months to complete.

You could probably take a cruise tour where you travel around the world but don't actually visit all the countries, or many of them.. Would be a lot cheaper.

Cant really give you anything helpful info wise since i have no idea what kind of round the world trip you plan on doing

Thanx Mahn! All though she has the dream still I can visit some cities in some countries from some continents! I just want to know the rough estimate coz I have a small budget as 10lks

are you sure enough? some K$ can complete her dream?
Sometimes I wish I don't respond to threads I don't know shit about. I might be all wrong, but I've heard all these stories with people that go out on a world trip and make it happen without not much money at all.

Anyhow, congrats on getting married man!

Something like the movie 'Into The Wild'.
Dude burns his money and cards and then just sets out to explore life. Should give it a watch if you haven't. :D

Check out priceline to come up with a vacation plan and be able to get the costs for the trip. For 10 lakh, you could do a pretty nice long trip in Asia as well Europe for a while.

Her place of Attractions are : US, Newzealand, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Rome, Srilanka and Canada. I dont think I can spend this much but still wish If I can get some good offer or package that covers this places :'(

so many money is needed but if you spend thought full then you can enjoy in small amount of money.

How much money is she contributing for the trip?

Jazzc, always the romantic haha

But seriously Jazzc has a point. A round the world trip sounds great as a honeymoon, if you are already wealthy.
If you aren't financially free, then isn't it better to use that money to build the foundation for your future with your new wife?

Choosing the right life partner, husband or wife, is the biggest factor to determine your future success and happiness.
Seriously, if you choose unwisely, then you may as well start burning your money now and give up on your dreams.

From personal experience, you're looking at around $25,000 total for shoestring budget for two people or around $35,000 with a bit more flexibility. This will require smart planning, optimal routing, and searching for good deals. You will need to avoid expensive countries and limit your time in the European continent.

The above is traveling light and staying in hostels or low end hotels. You can double or triple that easily as you move upwards in the budget ranges.

This depends. I mean Travelling 1/4 of the world (literally!, no cities, but everything where theres no humans) costed me 200k$ alone. If you only go to cities n around (what a waste of your life, time, money! BLEAH! slave!) then 1/4 of the world may cost you just 20k$

$200k USD? On remote locale travel? o.O

Hahaha Nope, I cant literally ask her for the money. Actually According to Indian Tradition the groom has to pay all these things.

See I have a Cyber Cafe, And thats all I need for a good living and some 30lks INR in the bank So I think I should spend this money. It will help us to know each other more and a man's basic dream is to fulfill his family's Dream. As it is a arrange marriage we've met only 5-6 times till now :/

The quote you got is very less. You won't be able to see the entire world obviously. May be they will cover few famous places in few countries.
