I have a website filled with images of funny photos, celebrities photos Etc. I am getting about 40 K unique visits Per month, and about 70 K page views per month. Since the whole website is mainly about pictures, my CTR rate sucksss. I would like to know how much money I can make in a month from CPM(Cost Per Thousand impressions)advertising on the website. If you guys have any other advices for me please share as well. Thank you.
if you really love celebrities you will need a lot more
traffic than that to make a living from the site.
If you don't care about celebs and just want to make
money. Sell the site on flippa you may be able to get
up to 2000 for it. But just list it with no reserve and dump
it as quick as possible. You should be able to get a few hundred
bucks and that is all you are going to make after a few months
of really hard work. Start again on a new site about a subject
that has medium to high competition. And the clicks cost at least
one dollar.
When choosing your subject for the new site. Forget about
the money for a minute and go with something you love.
Why is this important? Because it will take 150% commitment
and hundreds if hours of hard work to be successful and
if you don't love what you are doing it will suck.
Whatever your interests are there will be tons of niches
with competitive keywords. Fashion, video games, education,
software doesn't matter. Just make sure you find the niche
within whatever you enjoy that is worth at least 1 dollar a click
and build your next site about that.
