So guys, I have a couple of websites I'm starting with very soon and I'd like some advice on activity frequencies.

How many backlinks a day is too much for a new site, how many articles on the website is too much, how much social bookmarking is too much etc.

The websites are targetting keywords which are 250-1000 a day in search density. Is a unique article or two a day and 5-10 backlinks per day for each website safe. Would Google find such activity straight off the bat to be suspicious?

What can I get away with, safely, without Google finding my website activities unusual. It's the backlinks in particular I'm most curious about.

when your site is few weeks/months old then backlinks become first priority

but in the end u'll have to do both.
at start focus mainly on onsite SEO + good content!

Okay fellas, I have two more questions.

    1) On wordpress should I use the tagline or leave it blank? I notice that whatever is in the tag line becomes part of the page title.
    2) Similarly, as we're speaking about page titles, do having multiple keywords in the title take away from the main keyword? Should I stick with just my targeted keyword in the title, or might I as well add some lesser keywords. Does it matter at all as far as how Google will rank the main keyword?

There are sites than post tons of content daily and over 10k links per day and they're still ranking in the top. The main thing is that you shouldn't stick out like a sore thumb in your given niche.

Look at what the top 3 sites in your niche has done and mimic it. The answers to what you need to do to be number one is right in the serps.

Build manual backlinks to start with and try to get high PR with lots of variations of the kinds of links built.
