How much is this worth?

Hey,

I have a friend who is in college and has his own blog. What makes it so unique is the blog domain name is schoolname.edu/hisblog

So, this makes it a .edu backlink.

He said he was willing to write articles and put links back to other sites in them in exchange for some cash.

Now, how much is an article worth with 3 keyword backlinks in it from a .edu blog?

It has no PR (it's new), but is legit and will be around for another 3 years (how much longer he has in college).

name.edu/whatever makes it a subdomain. is your question about how he should monetize it, because he can't sell it because the domain is not his.

I would not monetize this at all. It is only good until noon on the day he leaves that school for good, whether he graduates and stays a few more years, transfers or flunks out. Not a good business model. There are also TOS issues with the school, I am sure that they do not allow commerce.

He has other possibilities but not any solely because of the edu/hisname that i can see.
