I got this domain yesterday, added some articles to it and now today when you type in Binghamton Shooting in google, it is 3rd down in the results.

I don't know how accurate this is but I've tested it on adresso.de ( yeah a german site... ) and it says your domain is 700 - 800? worth.

i'd say it's probably worthless. this "headline news" will fade in about 2 days and the site will be irrelevant. just because you got banged up on goog doesn't mean it will stay there and certainly doesn't mean anyone will be searching for binghamton shooting beyond a day or so let alone click on ads which would allow you to show a potential buyer how much the site could generate in income.

What I would to with your domain:

try to contact some shooting clubs in the city binmghamton.
They might be interested in your domain and would buy it.

Dude, 13 people were killed yesterday...that is what it is about.

And to the OP...why not just contact the seller of the .com and see what he is asking for his domain. I don't think it is worth anything though...

The dnScoop domain valuation tool says the domain is not worth anything - but the tool is not always useful. It ranks high for the keyword phrase but how will it continue to make money if people stop searching for the keyword when the news get old. Try to flip it when the news is still hot
