How Much Is My Website Worth?

Howdy! I'm planning to sell off one of my websites and would like to seek your valuable opinion on how much should I price for this Forex website:

a) Page Rank 4 (Home Page) *And a few others PR3 pages
b) Average 100 Unique Vistors/Day
c) Average Daily PageViews 804
d) Monthly Adsense Revenue $60-80usd/Month
e) Roughly 150 email Subscribers
f) Majority of the visitors are from US/Canada/Australia

I know I might have to let this website go at a very discount price. This is my first time selling off a website and would really appreciate if anyone could advise.

roughly 10 times monthly revenue is a decent gauge of how much you can sell a site for. Although there are other factors obviously.

Does PR plays a vital role here?

Average clicks are around $0.80-$1.00 from adsense.. highest I got was $4 per click. Does the "niche" of the website plays a part in judging the value as well? (Forex Trading)

I tried looking around SitePoint and couldnt actually figure out how two almost identical websites have a different bid price of $500+.

Anyway, thank you for sharing. I'll post this website up for sale at sitepoint with the 10X rule as my BIN price. Let's see how it goes.

PR4 isn't that impressive .. I don't see how it ads too much value to the site.

The visitor count is pretty low to be honest. Where is the traffic coming from? Google, yahoo, other links, direct type ins? These all matter too.

From what I know, I'd put it on SitePoint with a starting bid of $250 - a reserve of $500 and a BIN of $1500.

Not at all.

Firstly and foremost, put up a bunch of other sources of revenue instead of adsense.


Sell your own forex book on the site, another, whatever. With that many views and that many clicks, this site could easily be making 300 a month.

Now with that in mind, the email list and page rank is also valuable. I don't know what the domain is, but if it's good that could also play a role.

From what I see, this site is worth upwards of 3000 dollars (if you can shoot up the revenue a bit with clickbank/CPA forex programs - or your own paid ebooks). If you can accomplish that, then for an increasing site like this with exponential potential, you could easily fetch $3000-3600. As a rule of thumb, you usually charge 12 months times revenue. So get that revenue higher, especially since you don't need more traffic to do it.

Hi. 90% of the traffics are from Google. 10% spread across Yahoo, MSn, etc etc. I would say most of the traffics are from organic search and type ins based on the awstats.

Come to think of it, it's quite possible to boost revenue quite a bit if i were to pay more attention to the email subscribers. I'll try to ramp up my revenue for the month of May by promoting ClickBank products and CPA offers intensively on my website and to all of the email subscribers.

Then I'll based on the revenue earned for the month of May and multiply it by 12. That would be my BIN price.

Is that what you mean?

I assume your traffic is all SEO-based?

What do your repeat visitors look like?

If it's all SEO, no repeats worth mentioning - 4-6 months' gross revenue, approximately. It's a risk for a new owner since the SEO traffic could just dry up.

How long has it been getting this level of traffic? What does the growth look like over the last 90 days?

You're almost certainly better off holding onto it unless you need the cash.
