How much is enough money?

if you wake up one day and say to yourself - "I have enough money now...," then you are probably dead ;)

People often say that money isn't everything in life, but what's wrong with wanting to accumulate boatloads of it anyway? I don't take financial advice from poor or middle class people because those aren't the classes I plan on being stuck in for the rest of my life. Money is definitely just paper to me, but I still plan on having too much paper to know what to do with.

In india people used to stick a one rupee coin in the forehead during a person's funeral to make the person feel satisfied even after his/her death.. as humans we never say 'enough with money'..if anyone is going to stick a coin in my funeral i ll just put it in my pocket :-p

The world is full of greed, you will ALWAYS want more money, and that is what keeps people going.

By living i ment like buy a villa in some tropical country and dont work. Just enjoy, go to parties. Play golf.

a cool million would put me in a good spot to where I could pay off all debt and start investing in local businesses and do less IM. Gonna be a while... :)

Bill Gates can go completely broke tomorrow. It happened to jackson, It happened to McHammer Aim to earn forever not to be greedy but just to earn.

1.5Bn USD is anyone's mark. That way you can purchase any of your dream houses around the world accompanied with several supercars, a G5 to fly around, $ for the parties and $ for investments into long term assets.

Done.

the "enough money" term is an oxymoron, i'd punish everybody who uses these two words besides each other :)

For me 8,000 - 9,000 USD monthly is enough.. and i am happy with this amount.

~500 mil ...that amount a teacher has just won the powerball award ...

At this point, I'd say that I'd quit putting in effort to generating income when I get about $2,000,000. If I had that much and put it in stocks and bonds, I could easily get a return of $60,000 per year. That's more than enough to comfortably live off of. Although I'm a pretty simple person, and I'd be perfectly satisfied if I could go the rest of my life with a little more than basic expenses, plenty of food, and a bottle of whiskey every weekend. I know 60k a year would be MORE than enough for me to go the rest of my life on.
