How much should I pay for this domain? I want to buy it on godaddy from the seller. This is a .com domain. How much can I potentially earn from this domain also? The keyword in it's singular form has 5k searches and also 5$ cpc. Not too competitive.

First you say "for a EMD with 15k searches" and then you say "5k searches". That is quite a considerable difference. Is it a one word domain? If yes the price would likely be very high. You ask how much you can earn from the domain the answer to that is rly complicated.

Is the domain ranked anywhere? If not then you probably cannot earn anything from the domain at all since the traffic would be very low. Unless again, if it is something that people might type domain.com into their browser, but those are premium domains that you should not even consider buying without experience as their prices are very high.

If it is not ranked anywhere and you are planning to rank it then it might be a better idea to buy a new domain instead of that one and build a brand. EMDs do not give that much of a boost anymore these days. Building a brand might be the smarter way for the long run.

In short its impossible to tell you a value without actually knowing a lot more about the keyword and domain as different niches also would have different prices.

The EMD is 15k, but the EMD is not in a singular form so let's say CARS for 15k as opposed to CAR for 5k. Its a 2 word domain like usedcars.com

First check the competition on adwords. If the competition of advertiser is medium to high..

You can also check for different advertising method like clickbank or amazon.

Then we can estimate the price of your EMD..

Another thing, partial emd will work also.. If you will spend $XXX-$X,XXX to a EMD, better invest it on a partial emd and buy contents for your website.

That is what I was considering doing. The adwords competition is Low, but $5+ does it mean it's very likely not to reach this value ?

Yes, you can get as low as $0.1 if there are no advertiser..

Saber is right, I have made that mistake before. If there are not enough advertisers you can get even less than $0.1, I had a keyword that was low competition of advertisers but showed over $3 CPC, I ended up with $0.08 clicks.
