How much does this affect SEO? Search Console shows error: LCP over 4s

I have not done SEO for 2 years now and lots of keywords are on 5+ page on SERP. So I started going SEO again, writing content and building links but nothing has happened. So I found this error from GSC. Does is have huge impact?

Core error: LCP issue: longer than 4 s (desktop)

It means that your user experience won't be good. The user has to wait for 4 seconds (it may vary though) before he can see anything meaningful. That's never good. The site will feel sluggish.

I have heard that Google likes fast sites. I don't have a case study to prove their point, but having a big LCP isn't good anyway. So, you might like to improve it.

You need to work on UX for both desktop & mobile users. Plus optimize images as much as possible
