Just to get an idea of costs across the country:

How much does it cost you in your state to register an LLC?

From what I've been seeing, here in Washington state it seems to be unusually high at $200 plus MBA fees. Steep!

What about you?

I think it costed me 70 bucks... Around there, for sure; nothing close to 200 bucks here in Louisiana.

Guys I don't have much knowledge about LLC, how does this work. For instance if you register a company as LLC, do you just pay a one time fee? Or you have to keep paying in a regular basis?

There is a one time fee you pay the state to register your name as an LLC, usually along with a couple other dollars in admin fees. Once it's registered you don't pay anything again for it.

I know there are cheaper ways, however,
Code:

is great for me. It costs $149 + state fees.

Here is a list of state fees I just googled:

in florida lazaro corp out of miami does it for $60 plus another 60-80 i think for state fees so between $120-$140 total

Ok. Stop wasting money. Go to your local NOTARY and have an LLC made for 50 bucks or so and then you mail it off to Secretary of State I think for like a 30 or 40 dollar admission fee. Just go to your notary and ask in case I've made some mistake here, but when I created my last LLC, it was as simple and as cheap as that. The word for today is Notary. Hope that helps. :D

There is a yearly renewal fee.

There is a yearly renewal fee.

There most certainly is NOT. Once you get your certificate, you're good to go, and you won't have to pay another cent for the LLC itself.. I live in US, btw. Not sure if you reside in a different country, but in the states, a proprietor of an LLC pays for the registration of their company name once and that's it!

Don't forget to register your EIN online for free at the IRS gov site...http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=98350,00.html

Buy a shelf corporation by paying the taxes out of default, change the name to suit your needs, and call it a day.

LOL. Forming a company is not a one time issue. You need to file/renew with the state every year or every other year depending on the jurisdiction in the US.

It costs a little less than $1000USD to form an LLC in CA and pay the minimum annual operating fee of $800. You wonder why so many businesses leave the state
