I recently hooked up with a "wholesaler" through tradekey. They have high point rankings and are a gold member. Obviously this doesn't seem to mean much though. I've been talking for a few weeks with someone and want to know how much I am protected if the transaction goes through paypal. I am ordering a small sample order.

    PayPal just protects itself.

Pay with your credit card and your CC company will protect you.

PayPal and protection is an oxymoron.
On non eBay transaction as long as the seller provides a tracking nnumber then they are in the clear. They do not get involved in "Not as described" complaints/disputes.

So for non e-bay transactions, paypal is on the same level as Western Union.

If you owe Paypal money, they'll remove one of your fingers everyday until you pay.

If you are worry about protection, paypal is useless. I lost money as a buyer and as a seller. Both times they didn't help me.
